"Would you please email me a quote for a function we are planning for 500 delegates in October" “We are able to provide a detailed quotation and proposal once we have met with a potential client, established their objectives and received a detailed brief.”
“How do you bill?” “We draw up a quotation based on the anticipated time undertaken to deliver a quality event, which is presented to the client for approval. We then prepare a provisional budget on the hard costs related to an event. This is revised and adjusted as necessary subject to client approval”
“How do I know that the expenses on the provisional budget are actual costs, i.e. have you added any mark-ups?” "We bill you for our time in preparing for an event. All costs reflected in the budget are actual costs, i.e. we don’t add any mark ups.

We will present you with supplier invoices on finalisation of your event with your final budget reconciliation.”

“How do I know you will actually deliver on what you have undertaken to do?” "We prepare a contract which is signed by Successful Events, as managers of the event, and our client, committing ourselves to delivery of the event. It is also our responsibility to ensure that we deliver an event within the budget, which has been agreed to by the client. We have a proven track record, established over 13 years, and a strong list of references.”
“Will you get a commission from the venue and waive any management fee?” "Yes, we do receive commissions from venues on bookings placed with them, but this is taken into account when we prepare our quotation, and is reflected as income.”
“Will you agree to use our approved suppliers, i.e. travel agent, when you manage an event on our behalf?” “We have a very good relationship with our network of suppliers, and we value these relationships very highly and would prefer to use our network. However in most instances we are happy to work with your preferred suppliers. We respect the fact that they are comfortable with your corporate culture”.
“Do you work in centers, other than Gauteng?” “Certainly. We have offices in Durban and Cape Town, and have extended our supplier network so that we are able to work nationally. Clients have asked us to extend our service into the SADC countries. We have conducted extensive research and now have the contacts and the resources to operate in our neighboring countries.
