The brief was to create an exciting social programme, pre and post tours and a partner programme for this prestigious conference; firstly to attract delegates to register and bring their families on holiday; to showcase South Africa and to offer them the opportunity to network and enjoy their leisure time during the conference. The Ballroom at the Westin Grand Arabella Sheraton was transformed into a “Welcome to Cape Town” cultural, entertainment, food festival. The Gala Dinner held in the wine cellar of Lourensford Wine Estate was, for the international and local delegates, a truly beautiful and unforgettable experience.
Pre and post conference tours offered delegates a variety of experiences, from Sabi Sabi to the Arabella Western Cape or a night at the Saxon as they passed through Johannesburg. Cape Town was an ideal location for the accompanying families and partner programme.
The ICGN Conference hosted in South Africa was applauded as a benchmark for future conferences.
